Yes, really....pancreatitis again.  Amber seems to be having another flair up of pancreatitis.  She spent the weekend at Ron's house and woke up Sunday morning just not "looking right" as we say.  Ron called me and brought her to my house so I could check her out.  He was right, she for sure was looking pale and tired, and she was retching quite a bit.  I was concerned enough to get her checked out...but not enough to take her to the ER.  (They pretty much just admit her when she rolls through the door anymore...she's too complicated of a case to work up in the ER these days)  So to avoid admission to the hospital as long as possible, we opted to go to Dr. Luck's office.  They have clinic hours on the weekends.  Unfortunately, Dr. Luck wasn't on yesterday, so I had to briefly run down the synopsis of things with the on call doc....he was a bit overwhelmed with Amber's case, but he took my directions well....and drew the labs I wanted drawn! 

Turns out her lipase is on the rise again.  226 yesterday.  We're not sure what to make of it at this point.  She's still not getting fed, and she's already on TPN.  The only thing to do for her is treat pain right now, which she doesn't seem to be in too much of.... If she becomes increasingly sick looking, or painful, we'll have to admit her for further testing.  For now, we're staying out of the hospital!  (Except for me....I'm at work!)

I'll update more as things change.  Report from Brittany this morning is that she's doing well....just a bit tired.
