Special Education Evaluation
Submitted by Christy on Wed, 07/15/2009 - 00:07So bright and early this morning, Amber and I made our way to the Clackamas County ESD building. Amber had her official evaluation for special education services through Clackamas County Schools. She was evaluated by her regular therapists, Mary, Karen and Margaret. I have to say, even after being on day shift for the past 9 months, I still despise getting out of bed in the morning. It takes me at least three hours to come around to my normal being. Not Amber though. (Must be an Asboe trait!) She's up and at em in the AM. After watching her to
I know, I know....it's been forever!
Submitted by Christy on Fri, 07/03/2009 - 12:11OK, so I haven't posted in a really long time. If you visit the guestbook, you can see all of Grandma Donna's posts though. Amber has been doing great lately. After her IVIG was restarted last month, the general malaise symptoms went away. She still has an upper airway rattle, but her lungs sound good, so I don't really know what to make of it. She's certainly not sick and her sats are good, so I'm gonna let it go I guess.
A quick update....
Submitted by Christy on Wed, 06/03/2009 - 21:25I was finally able to finish posting pictures from our trip to Seattle a few weeks ago. I seem to get side-tracked every time I set out to accomplish anything these days!
Take me out to the ballgame.....
Submitted by Christy on Tue, 05/26/2009 - 14:07I grew up a baseball fan. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of going to baseball games with my dad. We often went to Baltimore Oriole games back in the Cal Ripkin Jr. and Eddie Murray days. Then as we moved west....to St.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!
Submitted by Christy on Sun, 05/17/2009 - 00:07So in order to reach all who were involved....I've decided to thank everyone who participated in this weekend's Rummage Sale. It was a great success! Who knew you could get $60 for a few buckets full of dirty old seashells!
Thanks to the Kirwan family for hosting half of the sale at their home! Their sale was the biggest success bringing in around 2/3 of the profits!
Amber is sick!
Submitted by Christy on Mon, 05/04/2009 - 16:53Well after a weekend of sneezes, snotty nose and coughing, Amber and I made a visit to Dr. Luck (her pediatrician) this morning. Turns out Amber has an ear infection! HA! I have to laugh just a little bit. I mean, how painfully NORMAL of her to get an ear infection! I don't think Amber's ever had such a run of the mill ailment! Amoxicillin here we come! She seems to be doing ok this afternoon. She's decided to hang out in her jammies at home and have some play and snuggle time with us.
Missing my girl....
Submitted by Christy on Thu, 04/30/2009 - 20:52Ok...so I may tease Grandma Donna about forgetting how to use the new website, but it appears I have some "getting used to it" to do myself. I swear I posted like 7 pics the other night when I posted my last blog, but they're nowhere in sight. I'll try again tonight.
The Beach ...
Submitted by Christy on Thu, 04/30/2009 - 01:00Today was a fantastic day. The weather has finally turned to spring here (for now anyways). Ron and I decided to pack Amber up in the car and head for Seaside. It was Amber's very first experience at the beach!
Long overdue...
Submitted by Christy on Sat, 04/25/2009 - 00:23I know, I know....this blog entry is long overdue. I have finally got my "big" laptop working again. I have uploaded the pics from our camera and plan on posting some tonight. I believe when I last typed, I talked about our day at the beach. I do finally have a few photos of that day to post.
