About Amber Asboe
This Is Amber Raine Asboe - She was born August 4th, 2006 in Tualatin Oregon. Her loving parents are Ron Asboe & Christy Battazzo.
Amber was diagnosed in late July 2007 with Pulmonary Vein Stenosis, a condition that obstructs the flow of oxygen-rich blood from the lungs back to the heart. Stenosis occurs due to an abnormal process that thickens and narrows the walls in the veins. Pulmonary vein stenosis frequently progresses. As a result, total obstruction or partial loss of flow to a vessel or vessels may occur.
In late October of 2007, Amber and her parents moved to St. Louis, Missouri to be listed for and await a double lung transplant - the only treatment to save little Amber's life. St. Louis Children's Hospital is one of only about 2 or 3 hospitals in the nation that provide transplant services for children under age 2.
Amber is our Christmas Miracle- as on December 24th, 2007 Amber received her miracle of life - LUNGS! Amber's transplant recovery will be long and require a lot of traveling, hospital visits, therapy and medication.
We are raising money for Amber to help with any and all tranplant related costs - The cost of a single transplant often exceeds $500,000.00, and every dollar raised for Amber will go towards tranplant related expenses.
